Tracy’s role is wide and varied. She has overall strategic responsibilities for the Integrated Centre, leading and managing a team of 120+ staff. She sets high standards for herself and believes that leading by example influences the behaviour and attitudes of her colleagues and helps her to guide and motivate others. Tracy believes all children have a right to be sensitively thought about and it is her role to ensure all children have access to the highest quality education and care as an entitlement. Tracy demands ambitious standards for all the children in the provision, especially those children living in disadvantaged circumstances. She works with the team to create an environment where staff members are highly motivated and supported to develop their skills and knowledge.
Tracy’s responsibilities include offering training and professional development opportunities to staff and adult learners. Additionally she works collaboratively with colleagues in the research, development and training base team to disseminate information locally, nationally and internationally. Tracy is involved in writing for publication and presenting at national and international conferences. She also holds responsibility for ensuring effective recruitment, supervision and appraisal arrangements are in place for the multi-professional teams across the Centre. Tracy’s lead responsibility, for the effective running of the Integrated Centre, also includes a satellite Children’s Centre provision and Community nursery.
Tracy’s career, since the 1980s, has been working with children and families and her more recent qualifications include: QTLS Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills, National Professional Qualification in Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Early Years), Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), MA in Early Childhood Education with Care.
