Rebecca is currently Head of Schools HR and Governor Services at the London Borough of Bexley.  Rebecca has worked in the public sector delivering services to Schools since 2002 when she began her working career at the Royal Borough of Greenwich in their Education Personnel Service.

 

Rebecca has 17 years experience working with schools and dealing with the day to day issues which schools have and are facing in recruitment and retention.  She adds to the panel a strategic responsibility for the schools within her current Local Authority, Bexley, and their strategy to try to ensure that there is a sufficient supply of teachers from NQT level through to Senior Leaders.

 

Rebecca is on a number of working groups within the LGA being the London representative on their Sounding Board which draws together HR professionals from Schools from all over the country to feed back on Government thinking.  Her dual role also puts her on working groups for School Governance.  Rebecca is also an active member of the South East London Committee of the CIPD (The professional body for HR and People Development) which gives her wider knowledge of the recruitment and retention market across the private sector and other public bodies such as the NHS.
