Michael Stimpson

Headteacher
St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School (Confirmed)

I became headteacher of St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School, London Borough of Barnet in September 2017, after serving as headteacher in another school for four years.  St Michael’s has been successful in the first round of the Selective School Expansion Fund (SSEF) and we will dramatically increase the number of disadvantaged students able to attend our school.  My first degree was from Durham, I then obtained Masters degrees from the Open University, St Mary’s Twickenham and Queen Mary University of London.  I believe that school is the impetus for a life-long journey of learning, I also believe that schools have the power to transform life chances and enable young people to turn their dreams into reality.
