NEW PLATFORM PROVIDES GREATER COLLABORATION FOR EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS

The Access Group has launched its new platform, Access Workspace for Education, and it is already helping to cut admin tasks, increase productivity and ensure more efficient communication in schools and academies across the country.

The new platform, which has now been in use for three months, has been designed by Access Group to promote shared working and communication in the sector.

Bringing together Access Education’s existing school management software, including its Finance, Budgeting and HR solutions, Access Workspace for Education enables staff to manage tasks such as payroll, budgeting and communications through single sign on.

As well as a choice of apps, which help users to find the information they need quickly and easily, the platform can be tailored to each school, academy or trust’s bespoke requirements.

Explaining more Paul Grubb, head of product in Access Group’s Education division, said:

“As school operations become more complex, Access Workspace for Education provides a central system and consistent approach for professionals – whether they are working in one office or collaborating with colleagues in different academies across their trust.

“Finance teams, for instance, can raise an invoice using an app, rather than having to log into the full finance system each time. The platform also includes communication and collaboration tools to support project management and engagement in schools and trusts.

Underlining the growing need for a culture of transparency and compliance in education, he added:

“It is difficult to believe that, even in some multi-academy trusts, emails and spreadsheets are still used for communication and collaboration. As well as leading to duplicated tasks, it is also a risky way of storing and sharing confidential information. This is why our platform has a portal that means staff can securely share documents and contact teams wherever they are based.

“We are delighted that it is already making life easier for education professionals, but we are also keen to hear what features our other current and prospective customers would like to see included as the platform develops.”

The Access Group will be exhibiting it’s new Access Workspace for Education solution at the Schools and Academies Show on 3rd and 4th April at London’s Excel Centre, and will be located at stand no.621.
